Habitat For Humanity Geneva Build, Glendale, CA:
SunGreen Systems has designed and will install photovoltaic solar systems for each of the five new townhomes at the San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity’s first green community, the Geneva Build in Glendale. Sonja Yate, Director of SGVHH, said, “I am tremendously grateful to SunGreen Systems for their interest in and support of our first green build. SunGreen Systems has contracted with KPFK (90.7FM) to design and install a solar parking canopy to help power its studios and offices in North Hollywood. KPFK already highlights radio programs that focus on the environment and renewable energies, and the addition of this solar parking canopy further demonstrates its commitment to a green future. The solar system, which will offset approximately 31% of the station’s energy costs, stands to make KPFK the first public radio station to power its facilities with energy from the sun.
