Power your non-profit organization, do your part, and free your budget from energy costs.
If you’re like most non-profits you understand how difficult fundraising can be. Every dollar saved in energy expense can be allocated to helping fund your programs and widen your capabilities. A solar power system for your non-profit organization can power your organization’s facility, lower long term operating costs and demonstrate environmental stewardship all at once.
Take the Los Angeles based radio station KPFK for example. The station has long been an advocate of environmental issues and supports many of the causes that movement represents. Late last year the station manager, Zuberi Fields called upon SunGreen Systems to help them take the next step and actually walk the talk. Zuberi wanted to power KPFK using the sun that beats down on the cars in the parking lot outside the studio. SunGreen Systems assessed the power needs of the station and the dimensions of parking lot then designed a parking ‘canopy’ structure. The canopy was designed to both shade the cars while in the lot and also create a supplemental power source for the station. In addition, SunGreen performed an energy audit to help the station further lower their bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Fundraising is underway to assist with financing the portion of the project not paid for the local utility, LADWP. In this case, LADWP committed to paying nearly 50% of cost up front! This along with the money saved by lowering the stations utility expenses will allow the system to literally pay for itself in roughly 5 years. And because of solar’s long life expectancy the station anticipates this system will pay for itself 8 times over.

Whether you are a radio station, church, local charity or international non-profit your organization will benefit from making the switch to solar power systems. Because funds / donations are hard to come by, especially in these tough economic times, SunGreen Systems is prepared to assist you with special lease financing designed especially for non-profit organizations. Depending on the strength of your organizations financials, a solar power system can be installed for as little as 0 down and monthly payments that are less than what is currently being paid to utility. We assist our clients throughout the entire solar integration process to provide a full service solar energy experience. Our team of energy and development experts will work with you and your organization to assess the feasibility of solar for your facility and custom engineer a solar energy solution to meet your unique needs. SunGreen Systems handles entire process from start to finish and beyond by monitoring your system to make certain it’s continually turning sunshine into power.
