Solar is not only a very important investment it’s also a long term investment. It’s important to choose the right solar provider to handle that. There are a lot of companies out there with lots of different skill sets and at SunGreen, we take a really close look at all aspects of the job.

A lot of companies will sign jobs being small, medium or large and that’s not how we handle it. At SunGreen we first talk to the customer and establish what their real goal is for installing solar, what their looking to achieve with the solar installation. The first thing we do to help them with that is we look at their current usage whether its commercial or residential were looking at what they’re using on a daily basis, and then from that we try to determine if there is some low hanging- fruit, if there’s some ways we can help them lower their reduction by maintaining the same life style, and the result to that would be to actually design and install it and sell them a smaller system which would improve the return on the investment. The second thing we look at is the rate plan that their currently in, not all rate plans are best suited for the customer, they just sort of land in that rate plan, so a lot of times the rate plan can be changed and the bill can be reduced that way.

After considering those two aspects we then look at the physical limitations of the house, the roof or if it’s a ground mount of the area that’s going to be installed. We evaluate the pitch of the roof, the orientation of the roof, the actual roof type; we look at the exposure to the sun, the daily sun hours in that climate and actually the microclimate that the structure is in, that’s very important the temperature plays a role in this, there’s lots of aspects that play a role in production and we carefully look at all of those aspects to evaluate them and design the system. One reason why we do that is, because all of the things play a part in the actual production of the system, production of the system is what’s going to generate the electricity which is going to offset your bill, which is going to put money into your pocket. So to maximize the investment aspect of this, all those aspects need to be taken into consideration and that’s something that we do at SunGreen that is something that sets us apart from a lot of other companies that are out there right now.
